SIO 184, Marine Invertebrates, 6 units, Mon. and Wed.
Course emphasizing the diversity, evolution and functional morphology of marine invertebrates. Laboratory work involves examination of live and prepared specimens. An oral presentation and a paper on current research topic are required.

SIO 147, Applications in Phylogenetics, 6 units, Mon. and Wed.
​Overview of the computer-based methods for constructing phylogenetic trees using morphological and molecular data. Lectures and labs cover evolutionaryand ecological transformations, biodiversity measurements, biogeography, systematic and taxonomy. An independent project and presentation are required.
